Our newly refurbished shop has been fitted out to a high standard, to make it traditional but also contemporary. A spacious open area where customers can see the fish being cooked makes for an informal and family-friendly feel.
Our menu includes Cod, Haddock and Plaice cooked to order to produce a fresh crispy battered fish. Also available is the popular locally made Pieminister pies, good quality pork sausages, wholetail scampi and fishcakes.
Sustainability & Ethics
Our fish is frozen at sea within hours of being caught, for real freshness and to retain its full flavour. We purchase our fish from traceable sources. The Arctic oceans are cold, clean and clear so the fish caught is safe and pure of quality.
We have sourced top-quality potatoes to make into our delicious twice-cooked chips and we do not use chemicals at all during their creation.
We fry in Rapeseed oil and we filter it daily using a dual filtration system which removes any carbon or any other microscopic particles. These particles would normally turn the oil cloudy leading to lower quality food and more waste.
All packaging we use here at Chandos Fish Bar is kept as biodegradable as possible.
